July 31, 2024, Prof. Jinichiro Yamada gave a lecture at the GGP Edge Program
On July 31, 2024, GGP hosted a talk event at hoops link tokyo in Shibuya, Tokyo, titled “Pursuit of Social Value Required Today: What Does It Mean for Corporate Growth? Are sustainability initiatives a business opportunity–?
Looking back on the GGP Edge Program [*1] launched in FY2023, participants exchanged opinions on business transformation and corporate growth.
The first half of the meeting was themed “Next Generation Managers,” with lectures by Jinichiro Yamada of Kyoto University and Mei Murakami of the Japan Research Institute, who served as members of the Edge Program’s selection committee. In the second half, Naoki Naito, CFO of Foodison, Takehiko Uchida, President of Tesera, and Makoto Nishikawa, President of Sanwa Bussan, were invited from the three companies that participated in the program in 2023 to participate in a panel discussion on sustainability and the creation of social value as seen through the program. The panelists discussed about sustainability and the creation of social value as seen through the program.
